Dangerously Beautiful by Amanda Kimberly

Nothing is more Dangerous than a woman who is armed with Beauty

"My entire life."

Is my response when my clients ask me how long I have been doing makeup. It has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. I am 35 years old, so some of you may remember the baby pink little tike's vanity. The one with the white framed mirror with a reflection as good as any fun house mirror, that folded down over the vanity to form a desk like flat surface.

My mother gave me my very first eye shadow palette. It has two shades inside of a tin packaging with palm trees on the front accented in gold. The colors on the other hand were not as appeasing. They were lovely tropical shades of green and blue that looked like Mimi from the Drew Carrey show created herself. Got to love the early 90's, I guess. I started out learning from my mom. I was basically attached to her hip growing up, so I watched her put on her makeup every day. I was always fascinated by the transformation, and I wanted to be just as beautiful and glamorous as her. She was my role model. I would sit in front of that vanity determined to be that pretty.
